Yellow fever
A vaccination certificate is required on entry according to the sources we checked. Other vaccines are recommended, not mandatory. See an international vaccination centre before you travel.
Entry and visa
Entry is mostly by e-visa (snedai portal). Fees and processing times vary between sources: check the official portal. Passport valid for at least 6 months.
Safety
We have no up-to-date official source specific to Assinie. Read your foreign ministry's travel advice before you go.
Language
French is the official language. The regional vernacular is Agni, and about sixty Ivorian languages are spoken in the area.
Entry and e-visa: what the sources say
The sources describe an online pre-enrolment on the snedai portal, followed by biometric enrolment on arrival at Abidjan airport. They ask for a scan of the passport photo page, a digital photo, a flight ticket and proof of accommodation. They disagree on the fee (73 euros according to one source) and on the delay (24 to 72 working hours according to one source, 48 hours maximum according to a press article), and a pre-enrolment approval does not replace the final visa, which is issued on arrival. Nationals of the ECOWAS states are said to enter without a visa for up to 90 days: check the current rules.
Health
The yellow fever vaccination certificate is required on entry according to the sources, and the vaccination should be done at an approved centre at least 10 days before departure. Covid-19 health requirements were lifted in April 2023. We give no malaria advice: ask a doctor or a travel clinic.
